KALANI PE’A RELEASES NEW CHRISTMAS SINGLE
WAILUKU, HI (November 25, 2020) --- Two-time GRAMMY® Winner & Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award Winner Kalani Pe’a releases a new Christmas digital single titled “O HOLY NIGHT.” Pe’a’s unique rendition of the Christmas classic features one of Hawaii’s iconic island music voices, Damon Williams. Pe’a’s rendition of “O Holy Night” is done in Hawaiian and English. The digital single is out nowacross all digital music outlets.
“I grew up to many voices, legends like Fiji to the Lim Family of Kohala. I wanted to feature an iconic and legendary voice on this single. I have sung this song O Holy Night my whole life and wanted to record a Christmas single this year. The goal is a Christmas Album after my third solo album. I love powerhouse vocalists when they do their rendition of this nearly 200 year old Christmas Classic. I made some alterations to the Hawaiian language portion with my own interpretation to why we celebrate this special Holiday especially during these tough and trying times. Hopefully my rendition empowers you to find peace, health and ALOHA. Compassion and love is what akua has instilled in us.
